How to check your download
Each card says where its SHA-256 comes from. For the Windows installer, checksum and size are taken from the release’s signed update manifest — the Ed25519-signed file the app itself trusts for updates.
The macOS disk images and the Linux package have no signed manifest in the release, so their cards show the checksum GitHub lists for the file. The Linux package also carries an OpenPGP signature; import our release signing key and run gpg --verify as shown on the card.
The macOS builds are not signed or notarised by Apple, so macOS blocks them on first launch until you allow them in System Settings → Privacy & Security → “Open Anyway”.
After installing
The English detection models are bundled. On Windows and Linux the app works offline right after installation; on macOS it does so once you have opened it past Gatekeeper the first time (see the note on the macOS cards above). What changed in each version is in the changelog; how to use the app is in the documentation.
