Version Access & Priority Support is a separate, one-time 12-month purchase you can add any time
from your account. It gives you priority handling of your support requests right away, for the whole
term. If a new major version of the app ships during those 12 months, you unlock it by activating the app again after
release — if none ships in that time, the term is priority support only. It runs for 12 months with
no automatic renewal; buy it again any time to add another 12-month term. It never affects the
license you already own.

All prices are in EUR and are net of VAT — the tax that applies is calculated from your country before payment, so the price you see at checkout is the price you are charged. Payments are processed securely.
Each plan allows a certain number of simultaneous machine activations. You can manage your active machines from the account dashboard.
Within 14 days of purchase you can return a licence that has not been activated on any device, using the return form in your account (clause 4.3 of our Terms of Service). Consumers additionally have the statutory right of withdrawal set out in the Terms. Businesses have no statutory right of withdrawal.
Yes. Every plan is a one-time purchase — you own your license permanently and receive free updates within that major version, with no recurring fee. If you'd like priority support and access to any new major version released during a set term, you can add optional Version Access & Priority Support any time from your account — a one-time 12-month purchase with no automatic renewal, and it never affects the license you already own.
The voluntary 14-day return right for licences doesn't apply to this add-on. Consumers instead have the statutory right of withdrawal — 14 days from purchase, which does not expire early even if support has already started, with a full refund. Businesses have no return or withdrawal right for the add-on.
Yes. Because all processing is offline, no data leaves your machine — simplifying GDPR Art. 28 processor agreements. Replace and Redact remove the original values irreversibly and support erasure under Art. 17. Hash and Encrypt are pseudonymisation, not anonymisation: under GDPR Art. 4(5) those values remain personal data. Under the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, in force since 1 August 2024, with high-risk obligations applying from 2 December 2027 (Annex III) and 2 August 2028 (Annex I)), removing personal data from training datasets entirely offline supports the Art. 10 data-governance duties — which stay with you as provider or deployer.
You can install and activate the app on up to 3 computers simultaneously (e.g., your desktop and two laptops). Deactivate a machine from the account dashboard to free a slot if you change hardware.
Yes. Because the app processes data entirely locally, it meets the Safe Harbor and Expert Determination de-identification standards under 45 CFR §164.514. The Pro or Expert plan is recommended for healthcare use cases (PDF, DOCX, and batch processing of patient records). Note: anonym.plus is a standalone desktop tool, not a cloud service — it is not a HIPAA Business Associate (45 CFR §160.103) and no Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is required or offered. Your organization remains responsible for HIPAA compliance in how you use de-identified outputs.
Yes. anonym.plus runs natively on Windows 10/11, macOS 12+, and Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora). A single license covers all platforms — you can activate the same license on a Windows desktop and a macOS laptop simultaneously, up to the machine limit of your plan.
