IPO Due Diligence Redaction with anonym.plus

Strip personal data from diligence material before an IPO review widens.

IPO due-diligence redaction is the removal of personal data from review material under GDPR Recital 26. The recital explains when data is truly anonymous and outside the rules. anonym.plus marks each identifier on your machine, so the review record stays useful while people stay unnamed.

When this applies

A diligence binder collects HR files, contracts, and emails full of personal data. You trim those before more advisers gain access to it.

How anonym.plus handles it

  1. Open the binder in anonym.plus on your device.
  2. Local OCR reads scanned HR and contract pages.
  3. The tool flags names, IDs, and contact details.
  4. Turn the name map OFF for true anonymity.
  5. Swap or black out the confirmed identifiers.
  6. Save the clean material locally.

Limitations & cautions

Recital 26 treats data as anonymous only if no one can re-identify it by any likely means. A rare role plus a city can still single someone out. Review free-text notes and keep the map off for true anonymity.

Frequently asked questions

When is diligence material truly anonymous under Recital 26?

When re-identification is no longer possible by any reasonably likely means. Turn the name map off and remove indirect clues, not just names.

Can I process a whole binder at once?

Yes. Batch mode handles up to 20 files per run, with OCR for scanned pages.

Does the binder leave my machine?

No. The app is fully offline, so the review record stays in your deal room.
