Management-presentation redaction is the removal of personal data from a sell-side pack. Hand a bidder identifiable staff or customer data and that bidder becomes a controller in its own right. GDPR Art. 14 then requires it to tell those people, normally within one month. An anonymous pack removes the duty for everyone.

When this applies

The pack goes to six bidders, five of whom will never buy. Each recipient of named staff data picks up its own Art. 14 duty. Anonymize the slides before the list widens.

Limitations & cautions

A customer logo image can re-identify even after the text goes. Embedded graphics may slip past a text scan, so review images by hand before you widen the bidder list.
