Tip: press Ctrl/Cmd + Enter while typing to scan.

This free scanner is a lightweight demo covering a handful of common formats. For real documents — PDF, DOCX, images — anonym.plus detects 340+ PII entity types, offers reversible anonymization, and runs a full offline MCP server, all 100% on-device.

What this scanner checks for

  • Email addresses — standard local-part@domain patterns.
  • Phone numbers — international and local formats with 7-15 digits.
  • Credit card numbers — 13-19 digit sequences that pass a Luhn checksum.
  • IBANs — bank account numbers validated against the IBAN mod-97 checksum.
  • IPv4 addresses — standard dotted-quad IP addresses.
  • Dates of birth — common numeric and written date formats.

Honest limitations: this is a free demo, not the full product. It only reads plain text you paste in — it cannot scan PDF, DOCX, or image files, and it does not perform OCR. Its regex-based detectors cover six common formats, versus the 340+ PII entity types (names, addresses, national IDs, medical and financial data, and more) that the anonym.plus desktop application detects using Microsoft Presidio and spaCy. It also only counts and masks matches for preview — it does not produce reversible, re-identifiable anonymization output. For that, and for offline document processing with an MCP server, download anonym.plus.
