anonym.plus removes personal data from HR documents on your own device. Employee files hold special-category data: health notes, DBS results, pay and protected characteristics. The Equality Act 2010 limits health questions before a job offer, and UK GDPR Art. 9 governs health and other special-category data. The tool marks names, dates, ID numbers and health terms, then you redact, replace or mask each one. Nothing leaves your machine. Pick an HR function below.
How HR redaction works
The app opens each file on your computer. It never uploads an employee record to any server, so health and DBS data stay confidential under the Equality Act 2010 and UK GDPR. It scans the text for names, dates, National Insurance numbers and protected characteristics. Local OCR reads scanned forms and PDFs too. It marks each match for your review. You then redact, replace or mask the value. The clean copy still reads as the same record. Only the protected data changes.
