Bank detail redaction is the removal of financial account data from a wage file, guided by GLBA (15 U.S.C. §6802). That law limits sharing of nonpublic financial data. anonym.plus marks each account and routing number on your device, so the record stays usable while bank data is shielded.

When this applies

A direct-deposit file lists each worker's account and routing number. You strip those digits before the file reaches a vendor or auditor.

How anonym.plus handles it

1. Open the file in anonym.plus on your device.
2. Local OCR reads a scanned deposit slip if present.
3. The tool flags account, routing, and IBAN numbers.
4. Confirm the flags and keep the bank name if cited.
5. Apply Mask to keep only the last four digits.
6. Save the clean file locally.

What you need to provide

Limitations & cautions
