Headcount Report Anonymization with anonym.plus

Strip identifiers from a staffing count so totals can be shared safely.

Headcount anonymisation is the removal of personal identifiers from a staffing count set. GDPR Recital 26 places truly anonymous data outside its scope. anonym.plus marks names and IDs on your device, so the totals stay usable while the people behind small cells are protected.

When this applies

A headcount export lists totals by team alongside named staff rows. You strip the identifiers so leadership sees counts without identifiable rows.

How anonym.plus handles it

  1. Open the export in anonym.plus on your device.
  2. The app flags named staff rows and IDs.
  3. Local OCR reads a scanned summary page.
  4. Keep the team totals and period labels.
  5. Replace each identifier with a steady label.
  6. Save the clean summary locally.

Limitations & cautions

A count is aggregate, yet a team of one can re-identify that worker. Where a cell holds a single person, the total alone may name them. Band or suppress small teams before you circulate the summary.

Frequently asked questions

Is a headcount total automatically anonymous?

No. A team of one re-identifies that person. Review small cells and suppress or band them before sharing, in line with Recital 26.

What survives anonymisation?

The team totals and period labels. The app removes named rows and staff IDs.

Is the export uploaded?

No. The app runs offline, so the set stays on your device.
